| Yes, it would do - the nosecone added to the Firenza (earlier ones were flat-front like the Viva) was the first experiment with aerodynamics on a Vauxhall road car, and future cars based on the UK products used variations of that front end, including the Chevette and Cavalier. The German-sourced versions (Kadett and Ascona) retained the traditional flat front until the ranges were merged a bit later. I have a photo of a Cavalier prototype that looks very similar to the earlier Firenza, before it was refined for production. |

Plan was to get some green paint on it, but just ran out of time!! I had sanded down the primer about an hour before Rick took the pic.
Considered cleaning the van, but thought I'd let it standout from all the concours stuff
Its amazing how the look has changed now it has lost the rear windows.

The Horseshoe seems to be closed at the moment - every time I've walked past at night for the last week or so it's been in darkness, and they have had a "Manager Wanted" sign up since about Christmas. Maybe they'll have it sorted by the time of the show.
I notice Nantwich is set for June 30th, though I never got a reply when I emailed a couple of weeks ago. |

Its rumoured that Robinsons, the brewery are trying to get planning permission to demolish the pub to build houses, I have not been down there for a while, Sean the last manager left in October, I assume there is a relief manager in, not been down there for a few months. Its a shame because it was once a lively little pub

Oh, that's a pity. It was OK for one year, but I much prefer the Barony setting. |
