Much easier. The TV is rotten just now ....Here goes.
One of my favourite 60s groups The Beach Boys.
Little Deuce Coupe.
Fun Fun Fun
Most songs about roads and cars were from America probably because they were more into cars than us. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

You've started something now. It has been estimated well over a thousand songs have been written with Cadillac in the the lyrics,in excess of ten thousand recordings of those songs have been made. The most sung about Cadillac model is the Coupe de Ville. A few to go on with
Maybelline, Chuck Berry
Nadine, Chuck Berry
Git it, Gene Vincent
Teenage Heaven, Eddie Cochran
Two out of Three Aint Bad, Meat Loaf.
Heavens in the Backseat of My Cadillac, Hot Chocolate
One of the Earliest car songs was In My Merry Oldsmobile, about 1904.
Lots of Ford V8 songs such as Ford V8 Blues
I'd better stop before you all get bored |

Don't forget The Beach Boys' Shut Down
I'm not sure it is easier, though I'm ready to be proved wrong. For a start...
Tracy Chapman - Fast Car
Queen - I'm In Love With My Car
Rolling Stones - Come On (we've all been there, haven't we?)
Meat Loaf - Paradise By The Dashboard Light
Jimi Hendrix - Crosstown Traffic |

well here is one, where the whole song is about the car .
It was the theme song for a Danish cult TV series called Sonny Souffle Chok Show.
It was about a Father & his son, who runs a old gas station, the wealthy Tannhueser concern wants to buy, in order to tear it down.
Theme song, about the Brother,s Volvo = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhsBU-qyqDE
The tekst goes like this = Black windows & plastic visor, from 0 to 60 in 1st gear, spoiler spoils, we stop, while we drive around in the Blue skies -
(chorus) violent Volvo, on hot & wide tyres, violent Volvo, thanks for tonight, and fast getaway.
The rest of the lyrics talk about 12 wide wheels, tripple Weber carb and all kind of other funny stuff.
I attended a car show in 1988, where the car was on display.
A episode = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jCHNCpLAc8
Lots of old interesting cars & mopeds to be seen, incl Ford F100, Skoda convertible, etc
anorak info about the giutarist = http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_Cross _________________ http://www.eurods.eu/wp/index.html |
