Hi,
I hope no-one minds me starting a new thread full of pictures Very Happy

My Grandfather was in the trade and we're clearing out the premises, he never threw anything out!
I've collected a pile of Brochures, price lists, etc which I have started to scan in, I hope they are of interest?

Andrew

Nope, doing nothing for me I'm afraid, can't see a thing.
In any case, wouldn't it be better to upload them to a host site and provide a single link rather than post them all, one by one, here?

I wasn't sure how best to do it, I've only scanned a few at the moment.
They are all in my Photobucket folder and I can just post them there if that's a better plan?

Lovely stuff! Can't help wondering about the source of that small 'fleet' of red Minis for sale.

I am fascinated by the typography and copywriting of this sort of material, sadly that is an art that's gone somewhat 'to the dogs' since the prevailance of IT. (IMHO that is)

No pictures for me as well. Even the Photobucket link just produces 56 blank thumbnails?

Why?

Okay Rick, I'll keep posting them here as I scan them.

Photobucket doesn't seem too reliable at the moment. Maybe time to move to Flickr Smile

Can the people having problems, see the photos in my other albums / threads here?

Some nice brochures there Cool

Some years ago, I was allowed to go through the remains of an old car collector,s estate, after he passed away.

I found 30 - 50 old car brochures, going back to the early 50ies.

Unfortunally did I not get to see it all , as some kids set fire to the building.

There were especially one bookshelf I had my eyes on, it was 14 feet long, and 4 feet high, filled with motor magazines from the 40 & 50ies.

Really bugged me that all those mags was lost.

There were even brochures from the launch of the Mini in 1959 (both Austin & Morris) and some nice VW type 2 brochures.

I sold a few some years ago, but still have a portfolio filled.
