BTCC, now that's proper racing.

So do I. If I want a nap on a Sunday afternoon then I watch F1. Smile

I used to watch every race at one time but apart from the excitement of the start the remainder is processional. The highlights on BBC are all I watch these days.

Perhaps the spectacle will improve next year with 1.5 litre turbo engines.

What has put me if is firstly the procession after the start, and unlike most other sports, most of the tactics and specific feature of the cars are shrouded in secrecy Confused , the average F1 spectator can't really have much of a clue what is going on.

The regulations seem imho to mean that all of the cars end up being pretty similar Shocked If F1 wants to go down that route , give the drivers the same car and then it will be down to the driver, finally I'd like to get rid of any electronic driver aids. Otherwise we may as well have the race on an Xbox!

I've always thought the BBC's team does a pretty good job of explaining tactics and how they change throughout each race. As for the cars ending up pretty similar, check out the regulations for BTCC, Nascar etc.

If you want to watch exciting racing, go to a VSCC, HRDC or CTCRC race meeting and see some proper cars working for their living, it's all going on out there!
