| Does anyone else remember the first record they ever bought? Mine was the E.P. Hot Rod Gang by Gene Vincent and the Bluecaps. It came from the film Hot Rod Gang, it must have been about 1956/57. I really must think about growing up! |

| 'Whistlin' Rufus' by the Chris Barber jazz Band in 1956 when I was seven. The B side was 'Hushabye' by the Monty Sunshine Quartet - funny the insignificant things you remember! |

Motown Chartbusters Vol 3 - bought in 1970 when I was 17, even had to save up for it from my paper-round wages, which were 5 Bob a week! |

I think it was Zorbas Dance by Marcello Minerbi but it was 50 years ago. I have still got it. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

Some great music you guys posted, embarrassed to share my 2 first ones
I am pretty sure it was Sweet - Teenage Rampage.
but could also have been Abba - Waterloo.
These I dont play anymore, but Diana Ross & The Supremes - Tom Jones I still play, as this was what my Father always listened to _________________ http://www.eurods.eu/wp/index.html |

| Father was a Methodist preacher so we were not allowed to buy such 'drivel' It was 1963 before brother managed to secretly buy a battery operated turntable and Sweets for my Sweet by the Searchers. 1964 before any Beatles records made it over the threshold. He went ballistic when I brought a guitar home and started playing in a local group! |
