|
|
Hi,
With trying to get the car back to standard i am assuming there should be a type of rubber Door wedge on each door if someone has pictures that would be great as i have no idea what they should look like.
My second Question is with respect to the Bonnet hinge ends the one on the Bulkhead side and the one that sits on top of the Radiator. The Bulkheadside has a rubber in it but needs replacing any ideas where one could get or is this the incorrect end type? The one i have on the Radiator side is a real cheap and nasty (Incorrect part) so again if anyone has a photo or two that could help guide me that would be much appreciated. Regards

Hi Bob, Thanks for the feedback i am assuming one of these on either side as the one i have on the bulkhead side has an old rubber inside also moulded in the shape of the pin support?
Regards

The one on the bulkhead should have a rubber insert, the one on the rad surround on my car does not have an insert, but I am thinking of changing it for one that does as the whole bonnet keeps sliding forward by a small fraction as there is nothing to stop it.
I am not sure what they had as original, but practically a two fixings at each end with the rubber should do the job.
Have you joined the Morris Registar? If not I would reccommend it as they have a worldwide email forum with lots of 'experts'. I am sure you would find it useful.

PS have you looked at my thread, '1936 Morris 8 my first restoration'. |
