Hey all,
I'm new to this forum, so i thought i'd introduce some of my cars
I have three classics at the moment.
1977 Mercedes 280 SE
1975 Daf 44
1966 Mercedes 230 Fintail Estate (project)
Here's a few pictures:
Mercedes 280SE:
Daf 44:
Fintail Estate:
The 280 is in very good conditin, the Daf needs a respray (being organised), and as you can see, the Fintail needs a full restoration. Guess that'll keep me busy for the next 10 years or so _________________ Too many cars to list, I need help. |

RHD Fintail Estates are very rare indeed.
They were coach built by a company called IMA in Mechelen, Belgium. Very few left i am told. I saw an article in a Mercedes magazine about 2 months ago on a restored one. I need to get my hands on that magazine _________________ Too many cars to list, I need help. |

Amend away
I know a little bit of they history of the car, but not much. I'm still investigating.
All i know at this stage is that it's a 1966 car that was imported from the UK into Ireland in 1978, hence the 1978 Tipperary North registration plate (FI). It was then registered as a hearse and still is today. _________________ Too many cars to list, I need help. |

Love the Fintail. I lived in Germany 1965-67 and wished my Dad had bought one, instead he bought a Hillman Super Minx Estate |

Hi & welcome inhere
Lovely cars / projects
I helped clearing a estate some years ago, after the previus owner had passed away.
In his collection was a Daf simelar to yours, and a Fiat 600, with suicide doors.
I didnt have room to store them shame beourse the Daf was 100% complete, and stood in a garage. _________________ http://www.eurods.eu/wp/index.html |

What amazes me about that Fintail is that it's still driving, even though it's clearly in bad condition. Can't beat those germans for build quality hey _________________ Too many cars to list, I need help. |

Nope, it's built by IMA in Belgium. _________________ Too many cars to list, I need help. |

Could you please put me in contact with him (via PM)... would be interesting to have a natter about this car... The problem is that IMA went out of business decades ago, so there is no way of tracing any history through them... _________________ Too many cars to list, I need help. |
