I works; not had a drop of condensation in my garage since doing that.
Also, amazingly warmer for my bald head! |

I have 2 40' containers, one of them has that silver bubble wrap stuff on the ceiling and it has far less condensation in it.

| A neighbour of mine came up with an interesting solution to the condensation problem in his unheated garage. Basically it takes the form of an inner roof - made from corrugated clear plastic sheets - fixed with screws and rubber washers to the underside of the purlins holding up the outer roof of corrugated steel sheets. At the lower end is a gutter to collect the condensation drips and a downpipe draining into a bucket (which then forms a handy supply of distilled water). Now, this inner roof is fairly close fitting all the way round except for the necessary gap around the gutter, and to be honest I never thought it would work - I figured the condensation would simply form on the plastic sheets instead and drip down as before - but it does work, and it works well. |

Water which has come into contact with any metal cannot be considered pure enough to be distilled water. Particularly as far as lead acid batteries are concerned.
Steel roof? Bucket - is it steel?

This afternoon after I came back from the MOT station with the Suzuki, I decided to label my containers and spent ages sorting out woodscrews from self tappers and washers from spring washers. Much tidier now. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

Today I painted the garage doors inside and out. Took me ages. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |
