One was near the arena, the other a by the end of the trade stands, I guess they were kept a bit apart so you could hear one without overhearing the other.

The old BBC lorry is amazing, I think it was at Kelsall last year - I wonder where he found the old-style cameras?

There was a lot of information on the printed sheets on the side of the vehicle, I must admit I spent so much time looking at the knobs and buttons inside that I didn't really read them. I got the impression that the bodywork has only been completed very recently, but I may be wrong. Search on BBC North 3 for more info.

I sent the link of the BBC outside broadcast lorry to a friend who used to work in the industry and she has just replied saying she knows the vehicle well having worked on it

It is CMCR3 (Colour Mobile Control Room 3 - the BBC love their abbreviations). Her e mail clearly shows I stirred fond memories.

So thanks for posting your pics from the show.

No problem, glad someone liked them.

According to the sheet, though, it's CMCR9, not 3. The sheet you can see partly-obscured in the bottom left of the bottom photo has more information.
