I used to really like this little show when it first started, you could arrive and leave as you wished,it was informal and had no rules or regulations.
Now I am afraid "Elf and safety" has took over...they even stipulate what time you should arrive.
I always feel like a prisoner being kept penned in at some shows nowadays.

I had a look on the Bones airfield site and while G Lodge is down as a wartime field (Bomber Command), Little Gransden appears to be a post war developement with no wartime aviation activity (this doesn't preclude it from having some other war time military use of course. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

It is a private airfield on the grounds of Fuller's hill farm.
Belongs to Mark Jefferies, aerobatic champion.
Started operating in 1966 and home of The YAK. |
