Sorry to read that he had died. There was a programme on about him tonight. I always remember as a kid watching his TV programmes and continued watching them for years. Even though I knew nothing about astronomy he made it riveting viewing. There will never be another like him. Crying or Very sad

Certainly a character. Some of his views were perhaps questionable, but his ability to enthuse others is undeniable.

It seems that he was on TV ever since we had TV.

It's Sir Patrick Moore isn't it? I remember watching the early B/W episodes of The Sky at Night on a tiny TV screen back in the late 1950s; I've been looking at the night sky ever since.

Yes it is Sir Patrick Moore but titles meant nothing to him.Do you remember him on the kids programme Gamesmaster.?

I believe he had a Humber at one time. Perhaps Uncle Google will know ?
