Apart from giving the Singer a thorough service it's pretty much good to go for next season.
My time will be taken recommissioning this:

Yes my plans include using them whenever we have a nice and sunny weekend.
Other than that probably a good service to each and every one of them and maybe do some work (which I have been procrastinating for too long) on the surf blue mini. |

My plans are not to do anything car wise(except emergencies) & devote more time to amateur radio without going outside(hibernation). Will have a new rotator fitted before the bad(instead of just rotten) weather comes so that I hopefully won't need to do anything & can play to my hearts content, cheers,JD. _________________ 1958 Ford Zephyr Mk2 Convertible

I plan to restore the front seats on my 13/60 and try and get the heater working! and maybe bodge some repairs on the hood frame.
Father in law will help with the bodging and as he is a retired engineer and perfectionist they will be top quality bodges. they just won't won't necessarily use original parts or even look the same underneath. Can't afford a descent 2nd frame and replacement parts are just not available.
Sorry! _________________ Mike,

I need to do some welding around the spare wheel well of the Volvo at some point. Not a massive job in itself, but I will need to remove the fuel tank to avoid blowing it and myself sky high and will probably pop off the rear wing in that corner as well, for good measure. _________________ 1953 Citroen Traction

I intend to build the wooden platform body for my Commer lorry, as usual with these things though it won't happen to plan! |

Fit new carpets, seats, seat belt. New wheels, track control arms, drop rear suspension 1". Fit new carb, turn dizzy 180 deg. to where it should be, and new engine mounts. (Finished by lunch, sometime in April) |

We're actually coming into summer here, of course, but the jobs don't go away because of that. So...
1. Replace the exceptionally durable but badly-cut Van Dyck carpet, and minor mods to the floorboards to be more original.
2. Make and install the frame around the semaphore indicators, just aft of the door posts, omitted by the 'restorer'. Then re-trim the side panels to more closely match the seats. |

I have 4 Morris 8 doors and a boot that all have rusty bottoms and frames to repair..... I hope it doesn't take me all winter
The skins wont be so difficult, but the frames are more tricky: bends and pressings to recreate!

I've been instructed/told/ to get the heater working properly in my 1960 Riley 1.5. Can't say I disagree as we plan to go to a New Year's Day event down at Haselbury Mill near Crewkerne and it can get a bit chilly on the way down with just a cold draught blowing round your legs. _________________ Graham

I'll look out for your Saab. My Riley 1.5 is Yukon Grey. Just hoping for some decent i.e. dry weather now. Fingers crossed. _________________ Graham

Have heard about the New Years day meet at Haselbury Mill. Think we might pop down for an hour or two but not sure if it will be in our Hillman. Its about 25 miles from us so its weather and children dependant!! |
