My A40 has a Lucas C39 dynamo fitted as standard. I have been given a nice unused, reconditioned C40 Item. Is this a straight swap? Does it require a different voltage regulator?
Thanks |

Without detailed part numbers such as 22250E/F and model C39PV for example it is impossible to compare. C40's are very rare and do not seem to be fitted to many vehicles. Physically they are 1/2" larger diameter. _________________ 1938 Morris 8 Ser II Coupe Utility (Pickup)

Thanks for that information Dave,
My vehicle has an RB106 control box fitted so it looks like a straight swap for the C40-L |

| I changed mine to a Dynamotor which is a alternator in a dynamo case I then got a broken rectifier box and used this as a junction box under the bonnet things look original but the alternator puts out 14 volts even at tickover |
