Hi

I am close to committing to making my J type / Austin 101 into some sort of service vehicle/ mechanic/ manufacturer's delivery truck for Francis Barnetts.

I have a Francis Barnett Fulmar in bits, and gave a donor Fulmar to a mate and we are thinking of getting both on the road this summer in a burst of activity one week (ambitious but possible; my engine is already restored and we have loads of good bits, so I see this as glorified meccano).

I have been thinking about liveries for the truck for some time and the idea of a Francis Barnett truck with two FB Fulmars loaded on the back really appeals.

For inspiration, does anyone have any pictures they could post here of 1950s/60s trucks, pick-ups, vans designed to deliver, repair or recover motorbikes?

Hope you don't mind, I'll remove the duplicated posts in the other categories, so that all replies go to one place Smile

fair enough, Rick. I wasn't sure which category it went in and I think some people stay in their pet areas (I know I do), so i was attempting to catch everyone.

Nice trailer. Thanks

Hard to say because I came to them via Google. But there are various lorries with breakdown winches etc on their backs......photos taken at classic vehicle rallies.
