Somewhere on here there is mention of the Austin A40 Farina as possibly the first hatchback.
I put forward the following:
Greeney will like this one as it is a Citroen Traction Avant Commerciale introduced I believe in 1938. |

Yes you are right, although the one above is a 50s model "avec malle bombee" (large boot)
the early commercials had a split tailgate and lift up screen.
very nice though, not sure if it was the first hatchback though _________________ www.OldFrenchCars.com
