This photo was sent over recently, found in a field near Arrington. Looks like Jowett, unless anyone knows different?

ripe for restoration, seriously though there might be a few bits there worth having for some one. as to the make it looks the same layout as a Jowett but I couldn't be sure though it looks like its only a twin cylinder so maybe Bradford van?

Undoubtedly a 1947-1950 CB Model Bradford. Is it for sale?

Definitely a Bradford.

This post has revived a memory of a local tobacconist who had one which we serviced etc.
He drove in one day with the most horrible clattering from under the bonnet. It sounded more like a single cylinder motorbike with serious problems than a Bradford. Lifting the bonnet we found the right hand cylinder bouncing around on the piston, held only by the inlet manifold. The cylinder barrel had fractured completely round the bottom flange. Asked how far he had driven it like that he said "Oh, only about 15 miles"!

New piston and barrel and that van soldiered on for years!

more info arrived this evening:

"I came across it on a walk near Arrington, Cambridgeshire. I don't know who owns it. I can't definitely identify it on Google earth (too overgrown?) but it is at about 52deg 08' 12.35" N 0deg 04' 5.64"W"

Time to get your compass out Paul Smile

Hi Roger - nice to see Alvin Pegg's Bradford in your picture, and nice to see it is now all red. Last time I saw it it was half way through the progression from grey to red!
Was that taken over the past weekend? If so there were a further 164 Jowetts (probably a record) out at our National Rally.
I'll post some pictures eventually.

Hi Paul

It was last year at Rougham
Couldn't remember the venue when I posted.

Also was a bonus visit by the B17 as it had been out of service for engine repairs and was up for engine test.

Judging by some of the restorations seen on this forum, that could still see the road again! Wink
