On 1st August my Amazon will be 40 years old. I am looking for ideas on how to celebrate.

The supplying dealer's address is now a Tesco supermarket, so no point in going back there.

Suggestions welcome.

A tour of, and photo shoot at, the addresses of former owners that you know of?

Or, organise a road run for Amazons, with yours at the head of the line Smile

Count yourself lucky Brian, my manufacturer's site is now a Morrisons Supermarket Laughing

As for your celebration, why not contact your local newspaper and see if they will do an article on you, your car and the hobby in general??

Emmerson

Doing that anyway!

Rick

I only have details of three previous owners - Derbyshire, South Wales and Suffolk so that would be quite a trip.

I am only in contact with a couple of Amazon owners local to me so the convoy would be a short one!

Mo

It seems a lot of us do.

Emmersons mention of Sweden next year refers to the annual European Classic Caravan Re-union that is in Sweden in 2011.

Naturally my trip will have to include an additional 400 miles drive to Goteberg where my Volvo was born!
