The Scammell seen here was the final all-new design to be produced by Scammells - it was powered by a 11.6 litre 350bhp diesel engine from Rolls-Royce. It also featured a 15 speed Fuller gearbox.

Restored & preserved vehicles at Sandbach Festival of Transport.
Photographed here is a preserved Scammell Crusader that took part in the vintage vehicle event held in Sandbach. Mid way through the day, there was a run around the streets of this Cheshire town, and many vehicles took part. Some boiled up on this hot sunny day, but most completed the journey without a problem.
