Toy Petrol Station
Background info on this toy set.
I bought this neat little set, I think, from the Chester Toy Museum when they were having a sell-off.
It comprises a plastic garage cum petrol station, with two lift up garage doors, and petrol pumps on the forecourt. Four plastic cars are included, although only three are shown in this picture. The cars are simple bodyshells only, there was never any base or wheels fitted, just coming as you see them with a one piece moulding for each car.
The box has some nice period artwork on it, and shows an XK120 roadster parked at the pumps and being attended to. A recovery truck is in the background - sadly only the four identical toy cars came in the set, no roadster or recovery wagon to play with!!
