Perhaps not the handsomest of motor vehicles ever to grace our streets, but being electric perhaps a handy car to use in London's congestion zone?

Interesting that it's fitted with a Tachograph. Clearly useful for limiting driver fatigue on long journeys!

Smile I wondered that, I could understand someone weighing them in though!

Hi
I don't think Enfield Automotive is connected to Royal Enfield.

There is one at MOSI Manchester.

Ref batteries they would have been worth more than the car, this will sound the death knell for a lot of older electric car's unless the replacement price come's way down.

Early versions were fitted with 8 x 12-volt traction batteries and a single 12-volt accessory battery. The traction batteries were set up in parallel pairs, with the pairs connected in series to provide 48 volts. Problems with unequal charging and discharging of the parallel pairs resulted in the use of 8 x 6-volt batteries wired as a single series string (still producing 48 volts) being used in later versions of the car.

Six lead acid batteries rated at 165 Ah are used ( 3 in the front and 3 in the back).

These two statements are actually from the same text. I guess the batteries are 165Ah each!

6 x $170 = $1020 (~£640)
