I have a 1986 Castleton Roberta and it's fitted with 13" wheels and 165/80 tyres. It rides/sits quite low and I was thinking of fitting 14" wheels and tyres to give it a bit of a lift. I've had to make a purpose built towing hitch low on my Series III Land Rover, just so the combination looks level when hitched up together.

Does anyone know what 14" wheels will fit the same PCD as the Castleton.

Why not ft 175 r 13 tyres?

There's a far difference

don't forget to buy commercial tyres

I've since found out, this is part of the problem. It's running on ordinary car tyres and they always look soft, even at 35psi. I have found some 155x13c LT tyres with a max pressure of 51psi. I'm sure these would bring it up an inch or two. However, like you say, 175's should be better?

you should get 175s for around £55 each fitted

just be aware when changing tyre profile or wheel size you need enough room n the wheel arch for the suspension travel

I need to have a proper measure up I think?

35psi is very low. I run my Carlight at 55psi, albeit with 14" radials

I've had a look at the 165/80x13 tyres that are fitted. I thought that the max pressure should have been 35psi, but it states on the tyre 44psi. I have upped the pressure to 40psi and they look a tad better.
However, I think the ultimate goal is to fit 175RX13C LT Tyres. They will fit under the arch with room to spare and they won't look so spongy on the tarmac.

Wilson294, any idea where these £55 a tyre place is?

Any ideas anyone where to get a good brand at a reasonable cost?
