Evening folks, in today's upload - our visit to Cotswold Airport (what was once RAF Kemble), lots to see including the only 747 in the UK that you can get up close to, plus sightings of 727s and more. We take a close look around - and in - a wonderful old Bristol Britannia, and also spy a couple of fine old cars etc.

A bumper turnout of oldies in tonight's upload as the clock is wound back to earlier in the year for another excellent evening bash at Tern Hill Hall. Lots to see, including a slightly bonkers six-wheeled estate car, one of a batch built with a very specific purpose in mind.

Evening, we're off to Wiltshire in tonight's video as we visit the Atwell-Wilson Motor Museum for the first time. Lots to see including many post-war family favourites, and a fine sprinkling of pre-war gems too.

Hi, yesterday I trotted over to Herefordshire to check out the imminent Brightwells auction. Lots to see in this morning's walkaround, including several fabulous pre-war cars - not least a 1920s Lanchester limousine that I was quite taken with.

A while back we were out for a drive and what should we spot at the side of the road in the undergrowth, but a grubby-yet-sound Morris Commercial van. A swift emergency stop ensued and we headed back for a closer look ...

Evening all, earlier in the year we paid our first visit to "Machine Meet" at Sleap airfield. We took the Herald, and amongst the other cars that turned up at this former RAF airfield included a wonderful Mk1 GT6.

Morning all, a magnificent Morris Oxford MO stars in this morning's upload as I wind the clock back a few months and re-visit a Swettenham Arms pub meeting. I have a good chat with the lucky owner of this rare old Morris, and check out the other interesting classics at this ever-popular gathering.

Hi, in tonight's upload I get to mooch around, film, look at and listen to an incredible assortment of pre-1920s cars, taking part in the Cheshire Cheese run organised by the Veteran Car Club. Also included, Harley's "on board" footage of riding on/in a 1902 Darracq, yep properly ancient cars in this one.

Absolutely wonderful.

Incidentally, the black veteran you said you didn't know is a 1902 MMC.

Thanks so much for posting. Hope to see VCC out and about again.

Thanks Ray, yes it was neat to see all these oldies being used as intended.

Nice to see some real old cars. I went on Veteran Car Rallies here in Melbourne Aus in 1961 and 62 in an American Import made by the Motor Manufacturing Company Of Indianapolis called a Pathfinder 1912 model car modified into a van in 1916. It was owned by the same family from new until the son passed away in 1975 and had done over one million miles without any major work.
It also had a central accelerator pedal. It also had a large brass ignition switch with a button in the centre, I think it was called a trembler, which when pressed with a stationery hot engine would start the engine by sending a spark to all four spark plugs. It did not have a starter motor. The hand brake worked on the propeller shaft. I removed a king pin from the steering and it was about 10" or more long and not even one thousandth of an inch wear. The owner had a whistle fitted into one of the castellated plugs which gave entry to the valves. It caused some confusion when operated, I remember someone in a hurry in a VW Beetle passing us and when we operated the whistle as he passed he stopped rather quickly on the side of the road and opened his engine hatch!!

Evening all, yesterday's visit to a local(ish) Boxing Day steam/car/motorcycle/truck meet went live just now, a great way to spend a few hours in the sunshine. May also feature old petrol pumps, and a smithy damaged in WW2.

It'll soon be Jan 1st so Happy New Year to everyone here. In today's upload - recorded on Sunday - we head off to a festive Combermere car meeting (which was packed out), then later the same day we watch a charity convoy of old and new tractors, all adorned by lots of Christmas lights etc - very jolly.
