Couldnt help but laugh at the comments on Welshies request for a magazine article and it got me thinking about funny sayings from different parts of the country. Might as well start it off with a couple.

That miserable he wakens up during the night to see if he has lost any sleep, Laughing Laughing
He is so dirty it looks as if he hasnt been washed since the midwife washed him. Laughing Laughing
And hundreds more........go for it.

That image is indelibly imprinted in my mind now! Laughing

Mine -

"He's so mean he can peel an orange in his pocket!"

"I see he's got a Newton Mearns flask then - just enough for one." (Newton Mearns is a well-heeled area in Glasgow).

"Never argue with an idiot - it allows them to prove just how much more expert they are in it than you!"

"About as much use as t*ts on a bull."
a variation on the orange "Could eat a pomegranate in his pocket"
Poor complexion: "Face like a welders bench"
Cosmetically challenged Saturday night pull: "Ten pint Madonna"
Thirsty: "Mouth like the inside of a charcoal burners clog"
