From what you say it sounds like you should try and find a local club and ask the members about a recomended body "specialist"..a very "grey" area. There are plenty of people who say they will repair your car for £XXX but im sure there is someone local who will do the job with care ...for the love of the job!
If you are able to do the job at home then ask on a owners forum who supplies the best panels....there are a lot of shoddy panels made in Eastern Europe, they will look wrong and be made of mashed potato.
I can tell you where NOT to go..a company in Sussex sells REALLY bad panels...but thats another story |

It looks like more than the wing that needs work. There will be rot in the front of the sill and thats a bigger issue.
I can't help notice the bubbling and the lack of gap at the bottom front edge of the door. There should be a visable groove between the wing and sill..your car looks like it has been skimmed over and re-sprayed.
If you are sure this is the only work that needs doing then carry on but if this is the general condition of the car i would think again unless you can do all of the work yourself?
Are you still coming down to Southern Classics? |

....have you tried sng barretts for the repair panels??
I have a 68 MKii 240 and the bits I needed seemed quite cheap. From the photo's you are probably looking at a door skin and bottom, sill and wing but good luck.

i have made a repair panel for the jag
please feel free to have a look
i have taken a couple of pics of the panel
and a pic of it fitted into place....
but it will need a good skim of body filler as the wing is at least 20-30ml deep with it already

the rest of the body is a bit rough as well rick!!
but thats down to the owner to sort out in the future!!
he just wanted me to repair the rot on this side for the mot certificate!!
the best thing about this car is the recon engine and new clutch fitted is an original jaguar unit(old stock)
it does drive extremely well for an oldie
