Mike emailed this photo over of an Australian ute, photographed in the '50s.

Can anyone pinpoint the manufacturer? it's had some modifications, judging by the wheels at the back.

The 'skirt' at the rear of both front and rear mudguards suggests a date of about 1935, when such embellishments became almost universal, however the SS or plated radiator shell suggests an earlier date.

The nearest that I can find that has both of those features is a Hudson of 1933. It also has the row of high flutes in the bonnet, but other features, like the moulding line don't appear.

Another possibility could be a Marmon. In either case, the body would probably have been a local fabrication, possibly based on a Coupe.
