Me, despite the incredibly badly-worded email I got from Andrew Greenwood's lot the other day: "Cholmondeley Sunday, Easthampstead cancelled" which could be read either way. Once you read the whole thing it's clear that only the latter is cancelled.

Good turn-out for the show at Cholmondeley today, caught up with Mike E, and had an agreeable day all round. Photos to follow.

Nice selection there today, our club won runner up prize in the "best club stand" section.

I heard a rumour that Greenwood has dropped Cholmondeley from next year's schedule - anyone know if this is true?

I've heard several different stories - one was that Capesthorne was dropped because of ground conditions being too susceptible to bad weather, another was that Cholmondeley was dropped because either (a) they're asking more money now they have Carfest and CPOP or (b) he was a bit fed up at being moved to the other side of the grounds because of Carfest preparations. I believe that Arley Hall is to be the replacement venue for whichever one goes, hence the test run last weekend.

If that's the case it rules out 2b above, because the guys from Arley Hall were at the Cholmondeley show to see what kind of a turnout could be expected, and at that point they wouldn't have known about the relocation. Either of the other scenarios I guess are equally possible.

It will be a pity if it's true, Cholmondeley is a nice venue and a much closer location to home for me. You'd imagine CC themselves don't have significant costs for him to put a show on, so a big price increase (if true) is silly.
