I have never been smitten with the lines of the E-type in they way that everyone else seems to be ! I'm probably the only person on this forum who wouldn't have the E-type in their top 10 best looking cars!

No car is perfect. It is more about which cars have the fewest flaws in their ability to do what is expected of them. IN that respect I think the E Type Jag ticks a lot of boxes.

On the downside; having worked on them in the 1970s I have my reservations; as anyone who has ever had dealings with the inboard brakes will testify!

The remarkable thing is how so many E Types have been brought back from the brink.

I think they rust for fun.

Shocked

ukdave2002, you are not alone.

I've never been even mildly excited by the E Type Jag. It is the Mk 2 shape that has always rung bells for me.

Evening all, just a short(ish) one today - a rescue mission for the youthful assistant as his bicycle decided to throw a wobbler.

A spot of classic car rally action now, courtesy of several stages of the Tour of Cheshire being held at Oulton Park last weekend. It was particularly soggy which meant grip was lacking. Hats off to the crew of the Model A, and also the TR3A which ran roof down for the event,

A morning car meet kicks off today's upload, where a number of very interesting vehicles turned up including a pair of pre-1920 Sunbeams.
Later that same day I headed over to Sleap airfield and found a varied mix of early aircraft being put through their paces, plus a very neat float plane.

A short video looking at one of the first books for motorists, the Michelin Guide for 1900, is the subject of today's upload.

Commenters on some of the show videos I upload ask about how to find out about shows in particular areas of the country. In today's upload I talk about different ways to discover large and also small-scale events that are planned for the year, both on- and offline.

Evening all,
A week or so back the Generations Rally (c100 cars 1920s-1980s) passed through the area, today's upload shows the cars competing on the Oulton Park stages. Some real gems turned up, including pre-war Alfa Romeos, Bentleys, Invicta, straight-eight Triumph and more, through to unexpected entries such as a pair of Range Rovers, a Swiss-registered Citroen CX, and a Morris Ital!

A second volume of classic van images (165 in all) went live earlier, ranging from favourites such as those built by Morris, Austin, Ford, Commer and others, to obscurities from DKW, Borgward and more.

Today's upload takes a look at just some of the incredible, and often very obscure, cars and trucks on display at the Metropole Museum in The Netherlands.
